Mount Elgon's volcanic soils and high altitude (1,500–2,200m) produce a genuinely distinct Arabica cup — bright, winey acidity with the same fully-washed processing discipline seen in Kenya's factory system. Bugisu AA is Uganda's top size grade, with a documented, activelytraded price history reported monthly by the Uganda Coffee Development Authority.
